Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 (CTET 2018): Central Teacher Eligibility Test or CTET is a national level entrance examination Organized by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). CTET is used to Appointed teachers for Classes 1st to 8th of central government schools like Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas etc. CTET 2018 will likely be held only once, unlike previous years in which it was held twice a year. CTET 2018 will consist of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is for candidates who wish to teach Classes 1st to 5th and Paper II is for those who wish to teach Classes 6th to 8th. If a candidate clears both the papers, he/she is eligible to teach students from Classes I to VIII.

CTET 2018: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Requirements (शैक्षिक योग्यता ):

The eligibility criteria have been divided into two categories. The details are as given below:

CTET Eligibility Criteria for classes I-V (Primary Level):

Minimum Qualifications for teachers of Classes I to V have to be ANY ONE of the following:

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks. A candidate must be either appearing or passed in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

  • Applicants who are Graduate and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) are also eligible for CTET 2018.

OR

  • Passed Senior Secondary exam (10+2) or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Process), Regulations, 2002.

OR

  • Cleared Senior Secondary exams (10+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

CTET Eligibility Criteria for classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level):

Minimum Qualifications for teachers of Classes VI to VIII have to be ANY ONE of the following:

  • Candidates who are Graduated and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) are eligible.

OR

  • Graduation in any discipline with 45% or more marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

  • Cleared Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

  • Graduated with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

CTET Application Form 2018

CTET 2018 Notification is expected to be Published in January 2018. The Central Board of Secondary Education is going to Organize Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) examination soon. Therefore, all the applicants who are eligible to apply and want to appear in this examination are suggested to fill CTET Application Form 2018 for the examination. All the examination details and CTET online form will be published soon on the official website – ctet.nic.in/.

CTET 2018 Application Fee

  • The application fee for CTET 2018 examination shall be Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC/ST/PH) for applicants choosing to appear for Paper I or II only.
  • However, candidates choosing to appear for both the papers shall pay Rs 1000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PH).

CTET 2018 Exam Pattern

CTET 2018 is going to be organized in offline mode. All the questions will be objective type multiple choice questions. The exam will consist of two papers and each paper contains 150 questions in total. One mark will be awarded to the candidate for every correct Answer. Candidates who want to become the teacher of class 1 to 5 (Primary Level) they need to appear for Paper-I and those who would like to become the teacher of class 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Level) they need to appear for Paper-II.

CTET 2018 Selection Procedure

  • Applicants will be selected based on the written examination which will consist of Paper 1 & Paper 2.
  • The paper-1 will be conducted for the Aspirants who prefer to be selected for classes I-V (primary level).
  • The question paper-2 will be for those Aspirants who choose to apply for the CTET Eligibility Criteria for classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level).

CTET Admit Card 2018

  • Applicants will get the admit card/Hall Ticket after the successful submission of the application form.
  • The admit card will be available on the official website of the exam conducting authority.
  • It will be necessary for all the applicants to take admit card with them at the time of examination.

CTET Result 2018

CTET 2018 result is going to be Released in the last week of April 2018. The applicant will be informed about the date of releasing result through the latest newspaper. The result CTET will be released through the official website of CTET.
